Elena Rivera MacGregor
Principal

Elena is an experienced Creative Director and Senior Designer with 15 years of experience as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Elena began her formal training at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design where she received an honours diploma in fine arts with a major in Graphic Design.

Elena is proficient with the Macintosh and Windows environment as well as an expert in all stages of project development, art direction of photography, coordination, design and production supervision for a variety of projects ranging from annual reports, brochures, and catalogues; to newsletters, identity programs and web design. Elena has worked on a variety of projects including the prestigious winning entry for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Logo Design Competition, case statement for Simon Fraser University; philanthropy report, folder and annual report for B.C.’s Children’s Hospital; media communication series, main case statements and folders for UBC; teaching package and newsletters for BC Hydro; annual report and poster for BC Human Rights Commission and ICBC; website and publication design for GVRD; and multiple publications and displays for Environment Canada.

For BCAA, Elena designed award winning annual reports two years in a row, receiving the prestigious Design Excellence Award from StoraEnso. Elena has won competitions to design brochures, a poster and invitations for the Faculty Exhibition at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She also won the competition to develop a graphic identity, brochures and media package for Presentations House Theatre and Photography Gallery in North Vancouver. From Neenah papers she received a Western Silver Award for the design of letterhead for B.C.’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.
